Good-bye, ARYA

I was fired (laid off) today. Part of the "restructuring of the office". I guess I over-estimated my value to the office. I always thought I would leave this office on my own terms because I was too valuable. Today I was proven wrong. As long as you're working for someone else, you are expendable. I had a few job options in the wood works, but looks like I'll be seeking them out a bit sooner than anticipated.
Bossman gave me a whole shpeal about the under-performing architectural department and the financial burden of having an "in-house team". He is a licensed contractor afterall. He was schooled in architecture but "building" is more his forte. I've helped maintain the architectural department in this "Design-Build" company along with various architects that have come and gone. I guess today was my day. Here's the list :

I don't list this because I'm angry or justify why I got laid off. This is the first time I've been able to share this list outside of the office without effecting my employment status. Everyone in the office knows I've been keeping this list (several have even helped). The comments in the parenthesis is a synopsis of why or how the person left the company. "Village School" is the project the person was working on at the time of termination.
I shared this list with my boss one time, and let's just say he wasn't all to pleased.
Well... another (not licensed) architect in West LA is on the market again. Any takers?

Sucks you got laid off. That's a bunch of corporate bullshit, but it's par for the course these days. I don't agree with you posting all those other people's names on your blog though. It's kind of a thoughtless invasion of their privacy.

You're right, it is a bit thoughtless of me. I took out their last names. Or is the list itself, offensive? I just wanted to share this list with a few close friends. I'll remove the list if people still think it's an invasion of privacy.
