Roaming In Tecate, Mexico
This past Saturday, I helped out my parent's church (Vally United Presbyterian Church in San Fernando Valley) by joining a mission down to Tecate, Mexico for a day. There we found impoverished children waiting for a junk food day and donations. I drove one of the three vans that were filled with hot dogs, chips, caprisuns, toys, books and clothes that had to be smuggled into Mexico to reach the children. It was a great experience. I have had the chance to travel the world and see the finest of the finest but this was the first time I purposely set out to visit an impoverished city. Not to mention this was my first mission ever. The experience was very humbling and helped me to appreicate the numerous opportunities I have just by living in the United States.
